Day 146 February 4

Today was pantry day.  When we got to the pantry, I had to take all the temperatures of all the fridges and freezers.  When our volunteers got there, we went and did the Trader Joe's pickup.  The pickup was a little light but not bad.  When we got back to the pantry, we put everything away and then had a long lunch.  We opened at noon, and it was not very busy.  It was steady all day at least, and we had people in the pantry most of the time.  At the end of the day, we packed up and went back to the office.  At the office, we unpacked everything, and then I headed out.  On the way home, I met Christian and Naomi downtown for some ice cream and out 1 on 1.  After our 1-on-1, we headed home, and we had learning component led by Michael.  We learned about ancient Babylon, which was pretty interesting.  After learning component, I went straight to bed.

Day 145 February 3

Today I started out by going to an eviction at Kittyhawk.  They were gone, and there was no stuff to move out, so it was pretty easy.  After the eviction, I went back to the office and picked up some trash.  Once the office was immaculate, Doug sent me to put more doors on the libraries.  I took care of Clark Mellen and Bentley.  After I finished at Bentley, I went to Goodwill and picked up some books.  I took the books over to Woodbine and dropped them off.  I made it back to the office just in time for lunch.  After lunch, I went to Natural Grocers and did the food pickup.  I did not get a whole lot of food, but it was still good.  After I put all the food away, I went back to the office, where I thought Doug and I would have to move somebody, but it got called off.  Instead, I organized the closet and made all the snacks look pretty.  When I finished organizing, I did a few other tasks around the office before heading ...

Day 144 February 2

I accomplished a lot today.  We started by going to Sprouts to pick up the donation.  Then we headed to the pantry, where we put everything away, and I got the cleaning done.  While at the pantry, we found out that we were now responsible for storing a moterized wheel chair.  We were done early at the pantry, so I went with Jenni to Westside.  We were back early, so I ended up going back to the pantry to plug in the scooter since Doug decided we needed to try and get rid of it.  When I got back to the office, I took lunch.  After lunch Jenni and I headed out to do libraries.  We started by picking up books and Woodbine and then going to Rocky Mountain, Santa Fe, and Citadel Arms.  After those libraries, we went to Home Depot to pick up some hooks for installing doors.  Then we went back to the office to pick up more books and take Doug to his SOS apt.  Then we went back to Woodbine and grabbed more books.  We headed over ...

Day 143 February 1

This morning we had breakfast and a business meeting.  After the business meeting, we played a tier game where we ranked different aspects of Service Adventure that we liked and disliked.  When we were done with the activity, we headed to church.  I helped with the offering this morning, and it was quite awkward.  After church, I went home and had lunch.  After lunch, I played some video games until Christian went shopping, and I joined him because I was bored.  When we were back from shopping, I played some more video games, and then we played Pandemic together.  We lost the first round but won the second time.  After playing the board game, we played some Overcooked, and it took us a lot of tries to beat one of the levels.  When we were done playing video games, I did some planning for my worship night the next day and then went to bed.

Day 142 January 31

Today I helped some people from church move.  We assembled the menno movers, and we worked all morning moving furniture to their new house.  There was nothing too big, but it was a lot of trips since we did not have any big vehicles.  When we were done moving, we had lunch, and then I did not do much the rest of the afternoon.  In the evening, I made some crunch wraps for supper, which turned out pretty good.  After supper, I made a cake mix that we found while cleaning out the kitchen cabinets.  The cake was good.  In the evening, I watched Shanghai Knights with Christian and Leigha.

Day 141 January 30

Today I was over at Bentley again.  I started by going through the make-readies with Tony to see what else they needed.  When we had finished, we went over to our storage unit, but we forgot the keys and came back.  When we came back, we got caught up, and it was no longer worth going back to the storage unit.  Instead, we went and looked at a sink clog.  It appeared it was clogged a lot deeper than we could get to, so we put some liquid heat down the drain, which made it good enough to use through the weekend.  When we were finished with that, I went and put a door kicker on, and then it was already the end of the day.  When I got home, I played with Naomi for a while, and then I went to the nearby gourmet mac and cheese restaurant and got lunch.  After lunch, I went to the phone store where they cleaned my charging port out so it would charge again.  When I got back to the house, I played some video games before getting ready for Grec...

Day 140 January 29

Today started with an all-staff meeting.  After the meeting, I rode with Alden over to Bentley, where I did a property check and then worked on a make-ready.  We fixed a lot of little things and did a bunch of touch-up painting.  When we finished the make-ready for the time being, we went and checked out a sink that was leaking, but we found no leak.  Then we went and checked out a lock that was broken, but it also worked just fine.  Then we started on another make ready that only needed a little touch-up paint and some hinged tighted up.  When we were done with that, we went to The Taste of Philly and got some Philly cheesestakes for lunch.  After lunch, we did a little more work in the make-readies, and then Tony finally got there.  We went and checked out a broken window and then made a Home Depot run.  At Home Depot, we met Josh, and he had a door that needed to be hauled, so we took it down to Enfield for him.  Once we had dro...
