Day 12

Today was my first day of being on the maintenance crew.  And let me tell you, they are a rowdy group.  We started by having our morning meeting, where we discussed what needed to be done today.  I got partnered with Frank, who is a really nice guy and also pretty funny.  We started our day by going to Home Depot to get supplies.  We found T posts and a pounder, but we couldn't find a reserved parking sign to hang on them.  We then went to Lowe's to try and find them, but they didn't have any either.  Then we went to a residency and hung up some blinds.  This took only about 10 minutes, and then we headed back to the office because Bill had found us some signs.  Then we went back and hung up the signs.  We did a very rough job with my disapproval, but Frank said they would probably get stolen or destroyed within a week.  Then we went to Lowe's again and got some locks that we needed to change out.  Then we went to the locksmith to have a master key made.  This took more than 2 hours because they were busy and they had an employee in training.  We finished the work day by going to look at a mailbox lock that was messed up.  We found out the key was broken, so we would need to buy a new lock and drill the old one out.  After work, my bike got a flat tire on the way home, so that was a long walk home.  When I got home, I made supper for everyone for the first time.  I made a skillet pasta dinner.  It definitely didn't go perfectly, but it went well enough, and everyone liked it.  Then I took my phone to the repair store again because they told Christian that I didn't have the right numbers on my claim.  I got it figured out, but then I won't have my phone for another day.  Then we went to a mega church young adults event that Michael enjoyed, but it was too many people for me.
