Day 3
On day three, we went on another early morning bike ride over to Greccio Housing. It's only about a 15-minute bike ride, depending on your luck with stop lights. I met my boss, and I got a tour of the facility. I also met a fellow Chiefs fan. When we got back from our bike ride, we discussed the roles of living together, cooking, cleaning, etc. For lunch, I had mac and cheese with pulled pork and some more cobbler. After lunch, we had a Zoom meeting with Michael Oyer and the Alaska unit. We talked about how to take advantage of your time here with service adventure and to be curious. After our meeting, I went for another bike ride, this time I went to explore a nearby park with some trails. They weren't the best trails, but there were some good views. After my bike ride, we had boundary training, which was a little awkward but probably a good reminder. For supper, another member of the congregation made us some soup, sourdough bread, and brownies. I spent my evening biking over to the house we stayed at over the weekend before I moved in. I had forgotten my phone holder for my bike.
