Day 100 December 1
Today was a busy day. When we got up there was some snow on the ground. I got picked up for work since I had gifts to take to the office for Adopt a Family. When I got to work, we had our meeting, and then I headed out to Sprouts. The roads were pretty bad on the way there, so the van was sliding around a lot. We got a good amount of meat at the pickup, so that was good. When I got to the pantry, I had to clear the sidewalk so I could haul in all the food. Once I had everything inside, I put everything away. Once I was done inside the pantry, I finished clearing the sidewalk around the pantry. When I was done clearing snow, I went back to the office to get the bread to take to Westside. They were inside one of the churches today since it was cold and snowy. After I dropped the bread off, I went back to the office and had lunch. After lunch, we went and picked up 25 Christmas trees from a person who recycles fake Christmas trees. These trees were still really nice. These trees filled up our van and Crystal's truck. Once we had unloaded all these trees, we went back and picked the guy up and went to Walmart. He wanted to donate more trees to us, so we bought 25 trees from Walmart. It was fun going into Walmart and just buying all of one kind of tree they had. When we got back to the office, we got all these trees unloaded, and then I made sure the trees were organized so they would be easy to pass out tomorrow. When I was done organizing trees, I went and helped Cristal and Alexis sort the gifts for Adopt a Family that had arrived from Amazon. This took a good 2 hours, and we still were not done. At 4:30, Jenni gave me a ride home, and then I relaxed for a while before eating supper that Trilby cooked. We found out that Leigha's blood pressure had gotten way too high, so they left at 6 so they could try and induce her. After supper, Trilby and I were in charge of Naomi. We took her to the playground because she really wanted to go, even though it was cold and snowy. She ended up mostly just playing in the snow, which she could have done at home. When we got back from the playground, we started getting her ready for bed by reading some books and putting on her PJs. She was a little reluctant to go to bed since her parents were not there, but eventually she was so tired that she could not stay awake any longer. Trilby decided to sleep in the same room as Naomi just in case, and I headed upstairs to bed.
