Day 102 December 3

This morning, I got a call from Trilby at about 3am that she needed help with Naomi because she was very upset for some reason.  I went down and slept with Naomi the rest of the night once I got her back to sleep.  In the morning, it was pantry day.  We woke up to a few inches of snow already on the ground, and the snow continued for the rest of the day.  I had Jenni pick me up because I can't bike in that much snow.  When we got to work, we tried to make the meeting short so I had more time to go do pickups, since I had to do Sprouts and Trader Joe's this week.  The roads were horrible, so it took me forever.  I also had a lot of trouble with my windshield wipers icing up, so they didn't work very well.  Trader Joe's had put the food outside, so all the boxes had a bunch of snow in them.  When we had everything put away in the pantry, we only had 5 people signed up, which was not good because we had a lot of food to give away.  When we opened, we went through everybody in about 15 minutes.  Around 1, we heard the city was shutting down, so we had to close the pantry.  As we were packing up, people continued coming, so by the time we were ready to leave, we had served about 10 people.  We headed back to the office, unloaded, and then Jenni took me home.  When I got home, I shovelled out the driveway and then relaxed for a while.  Around 7, Naomi came back from the pastor's house.  When she got home, she was exhausted, and we went right to bed after reading a book.
