Day 159 February 18

Today was panty day.  We started by going over to the pantry and getting some stuff in order since we were not there on Monday.  When the volunteers showed up, I went and did the Trader Joe's pickup.  When we got back, we put everything away and then ate lunch.  After lunch, we opened the pantry, and it ran smoothly for a while.  Eventually, a lady showed up who was not all there and told me some interesting things that I will not be writing down.  After she was gone, the rest of the day went smoothly.  At the end of the day, we packed up and headed back to the office.  At the office, we put some stuff in the fridge, and then I unloaded the dishwasher before heading home.  When I got home, I had time to relax before we had some curry for supper.  After supper, I got to hold Josiah for a while, and then he was happy to sit on the couch and watch us while we did learning component.  Christian built the computer that we have in the unit, so for his learning component, he took the shields off and showed us what was going on inside.  It was really cool and seemed simpliler then I originally thought it would be.  After learning component, we finished playing Overcooked and started a new game.  When we were done gaming, Janessa and I started on our the bible plan for reading the bible in a year.  When we had finished our reading for the day, I headed to bed.  For the Lenten season this year, MMN gave us a series of different challenges to complete on a weekly basis.  Every week, we draw a new challenge, and then we do that challenge for the week.  At the end of the week, we discuss with the Alaska unit how our challenge went and hear how their challenge went.  Our challenge for this week is short because we started in the middle of the week.  This week, the challenge is to write down three things you are grateful for every day and not buy anything unnecessary.  I figured my blog would be a good place to write down my three things.

1. The time I get to hang out with Christian and Leigha and their 2 amazing kids

2.  The pantry for providing our house with so much good food that we could never afford otherwise

3. My heater and warm blankets.  I would freeze otherwise.
